How to get here
A car is required to get to Tenuta Risalpiano. cab service does not operate in the area as the estate is located on Mount Risalpiano.
Parking is available at the facility and is free for all our guests.

By car:
From the A1 highway exit “Reggello,” it takes 30 minutes by road to reach the estate.
From the A1 highway exit “Firenze Sud,” it also takes 30 minutes by road to reach the estate.
By train:
You can take the train to Pontassieve station and then arrange a private transfer at a cost of 70 euros round trip (advance reservation). However, to move around the estate, you still need a car.
Near the Santa Maria Novella (SMN) train station in Florence, it is possible to rent a car.
From Florence Amerigo Vespucci Airport:
Take the A1 highway towards Rome, exit at the Firenze Sud junction (20 minutes by road) and then drive 30 minutes to reach the estate.
From Pisa Galileo Galilei Airport:
Take the expressway towards Florence-Pisa-Livorno, then follow the A1 highway towards Rome (1 hour’s drive) to reach the estate in 30 minutes by car.
A strategic position! What to do and see in the surrounding area
- Shopping at The Mall – Luxury Outlet, the first exclusive destination that gathers the most important international luxury brands in one location (just 20 minutes by car).
- Explore the cradle of the Renaissance: Florence. Its historic center, within the ancient medieval walls, has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1982. Easily reachable by train from the nearby Pontassieve station. The car journey from Risalpiano to Pontassieve takes 25 minutes. Free parking is available outside the station. Trains to Florence SMN every 30/40 minutes
- Attend the distinctive Coppa della Consuma, a historic automobile and motorcycle race (originally contested between 1902 and 1964 and later revived as a reenactment from 1990 to the present).
- Visit the impressive Vallombrosa Abbey and its Biogenetic Nature Reserve, a wonderful and untouched wooded area at an altitude of 1000 meters, the ideal place to relax and immerse oneself in nature and spirituality.
- Explore the Casentino area, a region with characteristic villages, beautiful landscapes, churches, and medieval castles, including Poppi Castle, Camaldoli, La Verna, and Arezzo.
- For hiking enthusiasts, there are several walking paths through the woods surrounding the estate.
- One-hour car distance from Siena, Monteriggioni, and the Chianti Classico region, and approximately 1.5 hours by car to reach Pisa and Lucca
- A small supermarket at Diacceto open 7/7 (except for Saturday afternoon and Sunday) and the Pontassieve shopping center (7/7 8 am-8 pm, including Sunday morning until 1 pm)
